This charming mini tea caddy can be used to store all manner of tiny mending things from needles to buttons or even a mini care kit for clothing repair emergencies.
 
Sourced from a vintage flea market this tin has been cleaned inside & out and given a very light coating of linseed oil to protect the paintwork.
 
This original vintage tin probably dates from the 1970s and was once used to store loose leaf tea sold by Jacksons of Piccadilly, a name synonymous with fine tea since the early 19th century.
 
It has 'character' and obvious signs of wear and tear that shows it's true age - scratches, dings, rust spots, stains etc.
 
There is some fading to the olive green background visible on the lid and back of the tin.
